clicked in here early by mistake. Wondering if the pictured listener is someone we have heard of but that I don't recognize. Hope I get to listen live this week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:36am
Jan Turkenburg:

Long live facial recognition! It's British actor Ian Henry (13 January 1931 – 24 December 1984)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37am
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi WR! Hi everybody!
  Swag For Life Member 9:59am
WR:

Connected, not sure how much work will dominate my attention.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00am
David (in London):

Afternoon Jan and all vintage groovers here assembled.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01am
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi (again) WR! Hi David in London!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03am
David (in London):

It's Ian Hendry rather than Henry. Memorably seen as Michael Caine's antagonist in the awesome Get Carter. And as the main character in the original Series 1 of The Avengers before Steed took centre stage.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03am
David (in London):

Bloody great photo Jan.
And a kicking start to the show, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04am
Jan Turkenburg:

Thank you, David and yes, typo-in-hurry :-)
Avatar 10:13am
David in California:

Hello, Jan and David. I remember enjoying Mr. Hendry's performance in Theatre of Blood with Vincent Price and Diana Rigg.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14am

Hi David in California!

It most certainly did!

David in California:

Hello, Darryl. I didn't think to ask yesterday, how's your recovery going?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19am
David (in London):

Hey David. Yeah, Theatre of Blood is a favourite of mine, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am
David (in London):

Hi Darryl.
Avatar 10:21am
worldsworstrecords:

Hi various Davids! I'm doing ok, thank you DinC, but still testing positive so have to remain in quarantine until midnight on Saturday
Avatar 10:21am

...and Theatre of Blood is an absolute camp classic!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25am

Lovely photo of Phyllis Dare.
Avatar 10:26am
David in California:

I saw Vincent Price speak in January 1973, before the film was released, and he was very pleased with it.
Avatar 10:26am
worldsworstrecords:

This is outstanding!
  Swag For Life Member 10:26am
WR:

Get Carter is still on my list of movies yet to but desire to see.
Avatar 10:27am
worldsworstrecords:

Oh, nice DinC... he certainly appears to be enjoying himself on-screen
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am
David (in London):

WR, it's Michael Caine at his absolute best.
It's very bleak, but it's a bloomin' masterpiece.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35am
David (in London):

BTW, thanks for the Bowlly, Jan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36am
Jan Turkenburg:

Our aim is to please :=)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37am
David (in London):

Interesting that Stan Boreson used the phrase 'killer diller' in that track. Traditionally here it's seen as a very Scouse (Liverpudlian) phrase. The Beatles can be heard using it on Polythene Pam. It obviously had some international pedigree / currency.
Avatar 10:40am
worldsworstrecords:

It was also the title of a musical from 1948, with Count Basie and Nat king Cole
Avatar 10:41am
worldsworstrecords:

I think its a phrase that jazz musicians had been using for a long time before that
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:54am

Got anything tropical sounding, Jan?
The furnace at work is going apeshit. I came into the office and it's 86° F / 30° C.

Hi Jan!
Hi D(iL)!
Hi everybody!
I wish I'd packed a pair of shorts and sandals, but it's February.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am
Wenzo Toad:

what about the hip flip
  Swag For Life Member 11:00am
WR:

Nip sip seems to refer to booz. I vaguely recall nip, as in "taking a nip" to be drinking alcohol on the sly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00am
Rich in Washington:

Ha! I looked that up, WT, and immediately saw a Nardwaur video!
  Swag For Life Member 11:03am
WR:

I've yet to find much in English about Koichi Sugii but he had significant career.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03am
Wenzo Toad:

I wonder if Nardwuar ever challenged Station Manager Ken to do the hip flip
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06am
Rich in Washington:

A Nardwaur/WFMU crossover would be epic, but could likely rend the space/time continuum asunder.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06am

lol!
