All heading in the right direction.

I put in a yeoman's day of volunteering at "the Magic Factory" last week, fun fun fun. Our agent of Satan (whose duties are only ceremonial) seems well, if a tad harried in preparation for the big upcoming 2 weeks. He has created a "Strength Through Failure" t-shirt for give-away, first and last forever, sure to be a collector's item.

	3:45pm doctorjazz: Carter is so powerful on this, I wondered at 1st if he was playing an electric bass, but I'm pretty sure it's his stand up, just HIM.

	3:48pm Stork: You read my mind, doc. Carter has SUCH a clear, booming sound. He really fills the space with the size of his sound.
	3:50pm Stork: I think that version of Ocho Rios was released on One for One, doc, but discographies can be treacherous.

	3:52pm watchpocket: Shite & onions. Of course. Got it, I'm slow. Esp since bud is now legal in my state.
	3:57pm doctorjazz: Tolliver in 2020, very cool (trumpeters often loose their wind/strength as they get older, as do we all. I remember seeing Roy Eldridge when he had a regular gig playing with a Dixieland group in midtown NYC-he had taken up playing piano instead of trumpet. Benny Carter, mostly know as an alto sax player, doubled on trumpet when he was younger, and was quite good, but gave it up as he aged. And he played sax until he was aroune 100, if I recall, but trumpet was too strenuous).
	3:59pm adamdoesit: Heading out to one of these newfangled rest-au-rants I've been hearing about. Like my man Topol says: To life, l'chaim, to liver / Tolliver, l'chaim, to life!
	4:00pm Stork: As Tolliver says, trumpet may be the most demanding instrument - the tone is so hard to hold. Kudos kudos.

He has created a "Strength Through Failure" t-shirt for give-away, first and last forever, sure to be a collector's item.

	3:57pm doctorjazz: Tolliver in 2020, very cool (trumpeters often loose their wind/strength as they get older, as do we all. I remember seeing Roy Eldridge when he had a regular gig playing with a Dixieland group in midtown NYC-he had taken up playing piano instead of trumpet. Benny Carter, mostly know as an alto sax player, doubled on trumpet when he was younger, and was quite good, but gave it up as he aged. And he played sax until he was aroune 100, if I recall, but trumpet was too strenuous).
