	🎸 ♥ 9:13pm Austin Rich: As I recall, Mr. X and I improvised this, with a little conversation beforehand, about where we wanted to go. I had been to the dentist the day we recorded this, and the references are sort of based on real stuff that was going on. But this was all recorded in a studio. We have threatened to do a sequel, where we actually record in nature. Stay tuned for part two!

	🎸 ♥ 9:16pm Austin Rich: Tech Note: as I recall, Mr. X had two CDJs that could read mp3 files (and discs), and a microphone, along with some other instruments and stuff that they brought. I had two CDJs, two turntables, a laptop, and a microphone myself. And I think a few other toys here and there, too.

	10:04pm Mr. X: One time I was on a camping trip with Fern and his family, Fern was about 5 years old, and all he wanted to talk about was Polyphemus from Homer's Odyssey.

	🎸 ♥ 10:08pm Austin Rich: Most of the punks I knew in Eugene were into the SCA because of the drinking and parties. But I always enjoyed the actual event stuff, with the court and the contests and stuff. It was kind of fun. And I could juggle a little, so I was popular at SCA events.

A combination of collage, new experimental records and other bits and bobs, Mid-Valley Mutations is a tour through the mind of Austin Rich, who has been broadcasting in some form since 1998. Heavily influenced by Dr Demento, Don Joyce and old fashioned College Radio, Austin creates Audio Essays on a variety of subjects, and even just plays records, from time to time. Sometimes Live music and Interviews will grace the program, helping create a situation where you don't really know what you're going to hear, when you tune in. What you need to know is when you enter the Mid-Valley region, be prepared for the Musical Mutations... in whatever form they take.

	🎸 ♥ 9:13pm Austin Rich: As I recall, Mr. X and I improvised this, with a little conversation beforehand, about where we wanted to go. I had been to the dentist the day we recorded this, and the references are sort of based on real stuff that was going on. But this was all recorded in a studio. We have threatened to do a sequel, where we actually record in nature. Stay tuned for part two!

I had two CDJs, two turntables, a laptop, and a microphone myself. And I think a few other toys here and there, too.
