	1:09pm Barney Grubbs: A Long Island rabbit tale: A couple of weeks ago, the dog stayed out in the yard longer than usual. I went out to check and found her sitting contentedly behind a bush, next to an eviscerated rabbit, daintily nibbling on a detached leg. (It was probably the work of a hawk or owl or something because she was remarkably clean.) The look on her face when I found her was one of shame tinged with total victory. I hope she has forgiven me for sending her inside and removing the carcass.
