I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

@time from washington @krys o: It's kinda haunted me since last night. I admire Strickland's stuff more than IO love it but this just got under my skin in a good way. Like, imagine if A24 made really genuinely singular, distinctive arthouse cinema that didn't feel like a product. Plus it as music by Cavern of Anti-Matter and Barry Adamson is a supporting actor!

It's C.A.M.P. But also terrifying and dreamlike. TL;DR: David Lynch and Quay Bros make a movie for A24 whilst listening to the Ghost Box discography.

Yes, the Florida Project was incredible, but some scenes left me emotionally raw. I don't care to re-watch it though I'm glad I saw it.

I'm quite sensitive to certain things in films and something that I was able to watch as a kid now forces me to turn it off. Harry & Tonto is one example. I can not take the scenes where the cat is running around unleashed outdoors. It freaks me out. Can't take even the allusion to animal mistreatment or neglect. Not to say that was related to Florida Project, just that I have issues. I dunno.

Thanks, Bryce. I thought the beginning fade in was maybe the pianist's performance, but the ending just sounded like a slow "fader down" -- which strikes me as very un-Flynt-like -- like he might have a treatise somewhere in his archived writings about why artificial fades are a betrayal of musical post-truth (or something) -- just saying... nice piece tho

Hi all! Anybody got cat calming methods? Even after a couple of years, the paranoid tuxedo cat Steve Rogers (the shelter’s name for him — it stuck) is still terrified of me when I’m standing up and walking around the apt., yet he loves to cuddle if I’m lying down. Jeez Steve, I’m not *that* tall. He won’t usually eat calming treats.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm

Ike, does Steve have a special treat he likes? if so, try giving him one when you stand up? (repeat as often as needed) idea being when you stand, it becomes not terrifying but yummy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm
Krys O.:

I used Feliway in the past, but I am concerned about the plug-in. The last time I changed the refill, there were signs of corrosion. I never saw that before and stopped using them.

I did have some luck adding a small amount of chamomile in wet food. There's also a hairball gel that I use with catnip. That relaxes my kitties.

As a last resort, you can talk to your vet about Prozac. Had a cat on Prozac for years. He had a lot of health problems and was unsettled so to speak.

Hi @Ike we use L-theanine - our cat behaviorist (it's ok to laugh, but you should see our emo cat) they recommended a micrposcoop 25mg measuring spoon and make sure it's human grade. also feliway pheremones you can plug into an outlet. you've got good cat vibes, so it's probably just gonna take time while you shake off the nervous nellies ( or Rogers in your case)

Oh, shoot, Ike, I forgot -- the vet said to go ahead put 25mg of help oil in our ancient cat's food every other day (we'd been giving it to Bagpipe). MIGHT be helping her not always channel her mystical Grandma Bitey personality with the kittens all the time.

She weighs about 5 lbs., so I'd say that measurement must be safe for most cats.

The only one we worry about is Goblin's pica and his chewing fabric. It's ruined all our fleece blankets and some of K8's sweaters, but the real thing is we worry about his swallowing something dangerous AGAIN.

The climbing me is adorable and intensely painful. Bugbear will SOMEtimes stand his hindlegs to hug me and show that he wants to be picked up. Or he gets surprise on me and vaults up my jeans until all claws are anchored in torso flesh. It's remarkable. And charming. And intensely painful.

Great show, Bryce! Much like being climbed by a kitten -- glorious pain and confusion, with some dissociated fugue on sourdough. Many thanks!
