I can take a Metro North Train from nearby Port Jervis to PATH & use cabs & subways to get to shows but sometimes the return trips aren't available later at night. So, we see shows in Newton, Bethel Woods (the original Woodstock site) in Summer (both less that 40 mins from us, Outpost in Montclair and even as far as Albany, NY because the trip there is toll free & hardly any traffic to speak of.

There is this narrative that Punk was a reaction to Prawg - 'Filth & Fury' showing Wakeman using a paint roller on his keyboard ferinstance. Never seemed that way where & when I was. They were both Underground &/or Marginal to the Charts far as I could tell. Punk to me seemed a reaction to Disco taking over *everything* for what seemed an interminable duration @ the time ...& Punk def seemed a counterpoint to the entire JourneyStyxForeignerKansasStevieNicksEagles 1970s Mainstream Chart domination. The real gem (imo) has always been the long TRAILER for the movie Convoy. The sound track is the complete Convoy single, illustrated trailer-style by little pieces of the movie. Actuality superior to watching the whole movie.
