Held close by that which some despise
Which some call fake, and others, lies
And somewhat small for one so tall
A doubting Thomas, who would be?
It's written plain for all to see
For one who I am with no more
It's hard at times, it's awful raw....

@Gerry from Miami. I know about the voting age, and I cop to misleading by omission. However, she may not have been 18 when she _wrote_ “Billy’s Blues.”

When I first heard the song as a depressed 16-year-old, sometimes I believed she has written it for me.

The GIZMO was purely mechanical. It was a bar mounted over the strings that bore 6 constantly rotating wheels that would 'bow' the strings as long as you held it down to maintain contact. It sounds synthetic, mellotron-like, but it's as primitive as can be.
