Oh geez. Cope's one of those who always moves on texturally / sonically a bit you know... 'St. Julian' was that 'two car garage band' - Rawks. 'Fried' is brilliant - & 'World Shut Your Mouth' is quite similar. Genius somewhat Baroque but yet Punky DamagePsych... I really really love 'Wilder' by the Treardrops, I think with that Cope became on par with his idols...

Yes, surprisingly enough. When he passed away last year as the pandemic hit, some WFMU DJ's devoted their shows to his memory, playing some early material that I had never been familiar with before, incl. his tribute to Brian Jones, "Dog Star".
