Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm

@Stanley: this shines a new light on the "no true Scotsman" thing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm
adamdoesit:

Nae True Scotsman:
2oz Glen Passaic
1/2oz North Sea crude oil
2g peat moss
1/2 cup stoneground oats
1ft sheep's intestine, thoroughly cleaned, mostened, and knotted at one end

Immerse peat moss in North Sea crude and allow to stand 24 hours. Wring out with fingers until damp and slick, mix with oats, then stuff into sheep's intestine, by the knotted end. Filter Glen Passaic through this apparatus, squeeze out thoroughly, and serve with a knowing squint, reserving contents of intestine for breakfast.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm
fred:

The fatal flaw is that not much of the intestine would survive the Glen Passaic

Shouldn't that album be called "The Found Tapes Box Set". There are so many flagrant examples. I know it will be an uphill battle, but we must take a stand against the continued misleading of the consuming public. There has been some progress, the move to "previously unreleased" supplanting the nonsensical "unreleased take" but we can't stop in our efforts.

In other news, Stork, your choices just now have moved me even more than Flash Strap's repeated efforts into the "I like Can" camp. Hmmm. It might be the Glen Passaic talking.

Sentient Glen Passaic? I thought it wasn't old enough to talk. I wonder if it's begun to mature more rapidly. Should… should we ask it what it wants? Hello, you there, sentient Glen Passaic… Yes? I should call you Glen? Ok. Glen, what is it you want? A list? You're sort of shimmying back and forth, Glen, the sloshing is quite alarming. And it looks like you're making sort of a toweling-off motion with your… I don't know what to call those flappy things. Pseudopods, ok. A wrist? To be kissed? Oh!

I'm back. What did I miss?

Looks like not that much, actually. Either my perception of time is way out of whack or Stork has been playing some pretty long tracks.

chresti, alas the Admiral was not mellified and therefore a scrumptious treat. Hard to know if any of the heavy metals in Glen Passiac lodged in his remains. Mercury has a wicked half-life...

Rude Old Man sounds like me. Though I try not to be that rude, often fails

Wow, that was some solo from Eugene Wright, on a Rude Old Man that sounded like Let My People Go, with a bit of Torreador.

Stork, seems you've left off some of Buddy Collette's many parts in the playlist credit 😉

Or I've lost track of which track we are on.

Yeah, that was a clever little suggestion by Brubeck with Leet My People Go - nice medley by Wright with Nature Boy, Swanee, etc.
