@ the end of Marty's comments I posted this but probly too late :
Via Psychedelic Salon, I've listened to McKenna expound for hours on a very wide scope of topics - inclusive of course of his favorite themes. What I liked right away is that he seemed to reject any notion of his own Guruhood - or anybody else's, formally @ least. For sure he made a living with his verbal output & its presentation - with all the occupational hazards we know that does involve... There was also a certain kind of Reach Exceeding Grasp that - as someone myself of a certain probing intellect & a certain amount of psychedelic drug use - I recognized with familiarity... That, after all being the task he set himself - to bring as much of the Other Realm back to Earth as he was capable of...

"In August 2018, musicians Paul Abbott and Seymour Wright (together known as XT) and Pat Thomas took part in a tribute to Cecil Taylor at London’s Cafe Oto, four months after the death of the US pianist. In advance of the performance, the trio looked to Taylor's “attitudes of preparation” to inspire them, and created a piece developed in response to their listening to, and discussion of, Cecil Taylor Unit's Akisakila, recorded in Japan in 1973.
The audio resulting from this exercise was then used as a framework for the live performance. “We prepared the piece, transcribing elements,” they explain. “And developed a series of cycles – unit structures – made up of various voices of Cecil’s influences and associates (real and imaginary), and at the end the voice of Cecil himself.”

The recording of the 2018 concert is now to be released by Swiss label Edition Gamut, housed in a sleeve intended to exhibit the way the group want to remember Taylor's influence. The artwork is built from weaving transcripts of interviews between the musicians and the label, as well as Cecil Taylor and pianist Eric Plaks."
Seems the voices are in the recording, this time.

They have the typical "you can get 1 track now" for the pre-release (to be released June 3), but is there to be more than the one 75 minute track?

"Across the two LP sides (80 minutes), and four gatefold panels (13,331 words) together they reflect on, and take inspiration from, the late pianist, composer, poet Cecil Taylor."

And after "part 2" there is a short ~8 minute piece which I guess may have been the encore. Are you going to play that Jeff?
