From the UK in a big way comes classic DJ, Orange Peel. A transplant from the North of England, stuck in suburban California since the 1960's. He spins scintillating sunshine sixties psych, pop & beat.

Yeah Mom...that previous song, The Girl From New York City, is a cover of a Beach Boys song. This song is from my favorite Four Seasons album...The Genuine Imitation Life Gazette.
Avatar 5:14pm
MOM WHIG:

sw2442 - I always like "The Boy From New York City" by the Ad Libs
Avatar 5:15pm
Erica:

✌
Avatar 5:17pm
sw2442:

Yeah Mom...actually, The Girl From New York City was a response song written by Brian Wilson to The Ad-Libs' Boy From New York City. Brian liked The Ad-Libs song and did his own take of the song. There's also that great cover of The Boy From NYC by The Manhattan Transfer.
Avatar 5:19pm
Erica:

The Girl From New York City is basically an answer record.

What's it like there weather wise Mom...here it's around and 80 and, actually, comfortable. Usually So. Cal. Memorial Days' are about low to mid-90's, and sometimes humid.

Eric, I dont know why WFMU has so many problems like this lately. So many shows not on time and all.
Avatar 6:00pm
Eric R:

we can still chat here
  👻 6:02pm
WLSClark:

STILL, I have heard at least 3 shows in last 2 weeks that were half chopped off or not even on, yet the Bunny rolled on. Is no one at the station to see this doesn't happen?
Avatar 6:02pm
Eric R:

like yesterday with Becky
  👻 6:04pm
WLSClark:

Yeah, 5 word interview and then off. I know it's a holiday, but THAT is when many might get great audiences. I just think that if I were on the air and got dropped and had worked on a special show, I'd be mad. I had a show for 10 years on REAL radio and I cant remember ever having my show not on air. THAT was 40 years ago.
  👻 6:05pm
WLSClark:

Playlist up now even if old show.
