MOM WHIG, the centre of town was absolutely heaving with crowds over the weekend. I took the opportunity to slip away and walk some rural sections of the Thames. Boats, waterfowl, country pubs, sandwiches on the riverbank. Very nice it was.

I caught some of the Jubilee online, mainly highlights of concerts, tea with Paddington Bear and Prince Louie being silly. I also saw the Sunday pageant with the buses and the queen arriving in green.

Erica, I liked the speeches, but NO WAY would I have had American artists singing so much and a segment from "Hamilton" when he fought AGAINST the Brits! Made no sense. WORST was Rod Stewart singing "Sweet Caroline." When I die, I will roll over in my grave from that.

here's the problem I have with the Jubilee...the concept of royalty. I'm fine with a big party. Love parties. I think of the Bed Sitting Room whenever I think of royalty. The Queen's charwoman has as much right to be Queen as the Queen. In my opinion, of course....but I'm right.
