	🥁 ♥ 9:39pm Discotech Underground: Clark-I can think of several right off the top of my head, like Grand Funk "Live Album" and "Closer To Home", SRC's "Milestones", this QMS album...so many that you just never, ever find without ring wear. It must have been the paper or the printing they used because it's so common on them.

	🥁 ♥ 9:46pm Discotech Underground: Mom-To some extent, yes. There are a few things that are still not doable, mostly chewy things like steak and pizza. I still have to cut up most things as well because I still can't open my mouth all the way, but the doc says that will work itself out as I go.

First Country Joe & The Fish LP with Flying High pretty great too! Still have my real time original to this day. Held that first VU LP with banana sticker in my hands more than once, but passed on it.. Was spending all of my lunch money and allowance on records at that point.. The wish list was just too long.. Did buy Bless It's Pointed Little Head in real time, and still have a copy.. Saw the Airplane many times at the Fillmore East.. Loved this LP too!! First Quicksilver was another favorite of the band I was in back then! A sound like no other! That one and Happy Trails stayed with me all this time! Was already a fan of Rick Griffin's talent, from reading Surfer Magazine.. Still have a couple of issues from the time with Rick's illustrations, and Ron Stoner's photographs and text.. They were the guys editor John Severson entrusted to report about surfing trips they made to remote locations! Was that ever a grand time!! Glad you're here this evening too!!

	♥ 9:52pm Chili MacPagoda: In the East Bay & SF, spiritual remnants of the music can still be found - rarely but it pops up from time to time with a bit of practice in yr awareness. But late stage capitalism has utterly transformed and failed that previous age. What it must’ve been like to experience it first hand…read recently about the “businessman’s special” where the usual 3 martini lunch was replaced by a low dosage of STP. 30-60 min inside a Tenderloin club, light shows and music provided by local acts(like The Warlocks!), then back to the office. Good lord! So so different now, and in most cases much more mundane & boring. Makes me think of the Hunter Thompson quote in Fear & Loathing: “So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark--that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.“ Also Joan Didion’s essay, Slouching Towards Bethlehem.

Often SF seemd more hip and yet when I think that, along comes a radio survey from APRIL 67 2 months before Pepper released here and KRLA had the new Beatles song "A Day and a Life" on the chart already! Hey, cant fault the song title mistake, as it is never mentioned in the song.

They spend more time interviewing concert goers and locals who objected to the festival than they did of any of the bands playing. There has to be more footage shot for it but it's anyone's guess where it all went. That was Michigan's Woodstock!

The highlight was the guitar solo for "The Torture Never Stops" where he took his Les Paul, stood on the edge of the drum riser and let loose for at least twenty solid minutes. I remember my mouth hanging open in astonishment.

Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!

It must have been the paper or the printing they used because it's so common on them.

First Country Joe & The Fish LP with Flying High pretty great too! Still have my real time original to this day. Held that first VU LP with banana sticker in my hands more than once, but passed on it.. Was spending all of my lunch money and allowance on records at that point.. The wish list was just too long.. Did buy Bless It's Pointed Little Head in real time, and still have a copy.. Saw the Airplane many times at the Fillmore East.. Loved this LP too!! First Quicksilver was another favorite of the band I was in back then! A sound like no other! That one and Happy Trails stayed with me all this time! Was already a fan of Rick Griffin's talent, from reading Surfer Magazine.. Still have a couple of issues from the time with Rick's illustrations, and Ron Stoner's photographs and text.. They were the guys editor John Severson entrusted to report about surfing trips they made to remote locations! Was that ever a grand time!! Glad you're here this evening too!!

But late stage capitalism has utterly transformed and failed that previous age. What it must’ve been like to experience it first hand…read recently about the “businessman’s special” where the usual 3 martini lunch was replaced by a low dosage of STP. 30-60 min inside a Tenderloin club, light shows and music provided by local acts(like The Warlocks!), then back to the office. Good lord! So so different now, and in most cases much more mundane & boring. Makes me think of the Hunter Thompson quote in Fear & Loathing: “So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark--that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.“ Also Joan Didion’s essay, Slouching Towards Bethlehem.

Often SF seemd more hip and yet when I think that, along comes a radio survey from APRIL 67 2 months before Pepper released here and KRLA had the new Beatles song "A Day and a Life" on the chart already! Hey, cant fault the song title mistake, as it is never mentioned in the song.

I remember my mouth hanging open in astonishment.
