Basically, they shattered the hinges that keep the screen attached to the body. I might have all the pieces. But at least one snapped. The screen actually still works, but it won't stay open, duh, and the frame is pretty loose. I have used a repair shop nearby, so I guess I'll call him and see what he thinks over there. If he can take it, I might need to take it in tomorrow when I can then go into work.

	🎸 ♥ 10:46am YETI BOB: HH: Generally, yes the hinges are replaceable. I've done this on a Thinkpad. Other brands may be harder to do. And there might be additional damage (where the hinge joins the top cover). But I think if the screen still works, the chances of it being fixable are pretty good.

Basically, they shattered the hinges that keep the screen attached to the body. I might have all the pieces. But at least one snapped. The closest I came was a guided walk through Loch a'Duín for 2021's Féile na Bealtaine. Six months in the US hiding from covid really did a number on my health and motivation; I'll take any pressure to get back outside and walking again, really.
