This is so amazing today, good job mr McGasko
Avatar 10:06am Joe McG:

Fun stuff, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07am McGroovey:

@ChukAmok Yeah, the Linda Lindas did 4 nights recently at Irving Plaza in NYC opening for Jawbreaker. I went twice. The second night I took my teenage daughter, who's also a fan.

The first night, I stayed for Jawbreaker's first couple songs, to see if I still don't like them. I still don't like them.

The Linda Lindas are coming back to NYC in the Fall, opening for the Year Yeah Yeahs. I'm not a fan of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but I like them well enough not to leave before they play.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:08am The Oscar:

@Gerry They have all of their own releases, plus a whole lot of punk, exotica, psych, rockabilly, general weirdness-- it's basically the parts of a record store I gravitate to, expanded to fill the whole store!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:09am Miss G:

Who are these cute girls?! I was mad at the pharmacy for waking me up but now I'm happy (but I missed a killer set that I will love later! I am a HUGE fan of 30s musicals!)
Avatar 10:09am HyperDose:

Love The Linda Lindas, but was hesitant to check out the new album due to hearing mixed reviews. Epitaph always puts out solid stuff. Rest assured, it was a total banger!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:10am Handy Haversack:

We were going to get tix to that, McGroovey, but I can't even get to the point where I can see whether I'm denied access because it's app delivery only with axs tix. Something about my browser set-up won't even let me load the tickets pages for their shows. It sucks axs, one might say.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10am McGroovey:

One exciting thing about the Linda Lindas is that they're probably going to get better, and they're already fantastic.

Got a GittarTuner app on the Android
...try singing a note to satisfy the Tuner - neither sharp nor flat - nor wavering. & loud enuff. I think you'll find it's humbling.

People should some day check out
Matt McGinn (Scot/Glasglow) and amazing guy who was banned from the BBC as
a ussr/communist - when he was just an amazing person of independent thinking socialist norms= housing, medical, nutrition, education .. for the poor ... he sang about the horrors of moving people from real neighborhoods to super high-rise buildings..
"Ya canna' eat a Jeelyey from the 27th floor"
He actually did and ironic song about "Ban the Beatles"

@handy: New to me, thank you@
I'm sorry if it's bad form to pump up other stuff whilst as show is on, but the new stuff I'm hearing off Elspeth Anne is uh-maze-ing. It was like tuning into an alternate world where all the radio shows are Shrunken Planet.

My cousin was into Dark Shadows, my first soap opera was Mary Hartman, then when I moved to LA my roomate turned me on to All My Children

Joe, sometimes these last sets are a mashup of You, Irene & Jeffrey D. No complaints here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46am Barney Grubbs:

@Handy: there's a recording somewhere of Radie Peat singing an old tune "A Goodfellowe's Complaint against Strong Beere" if you are in need of a cautionary tale--I can try to dig it up

This is a decent Tim Buckley cover. I don't think I've ever heard a bad Tim Buckley cover, though. Lame people don't bother trying to cover him, maybe.
