Fred, latest news is, Station Manager Ken can't allow it until we change the name. As it is the same as TRASH CULT the Store. Even though it's grass roots in backwater Australia. It is still seen as promotional. So the fucken saga continues mate. # three hour Shows we've done will be binned, unless we heavily edit them. We were always up front that it was a Show set in an actual Record Store Bar Band room. Woulda been good to know the name is a no go back then.

If the story is true = not doubting, I just do not have evidence as such - Fela's mother died after the police/army raided his compound and they threw his Ma off the roof..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16am
Brian D:

Hello Morphe! As the story goes, yes, it was either the roof or a high-floor window.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:22am
fred:

@Scott: That sucks, but the weird laws about non-profit and tax-exempt status mean Ken can't take the chance. The station can't afford to lose either, and can't even afford litigation there. Sad thing is you can't even call it Garbage Worship, it would be too close to Garbage Time and Matt would challenge you to a doughnut eating or Felder air-guitar contest or something
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26am

@Brian: Only one 't' in Quentin Rollet's name
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27am
Brian D:

Good catch Fred. Thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31am
fred:

Quentin showed me a beer pouring technique where he puts the bottle upside down in a glass then slowly lifts it up. That avoids excess foam
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:33am
fred:

@Brian: the 't' at the end is silent, but changes how the 'e' sounds
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:35am

Re: Beer Pouring -
"
a beer pouring technique where he puts the bottle upside down in a glass then slowly lifts it up. That avoids excess foam"

Problem with that is that the bottle/can has been sitting around Bsmts and places with rodent sprays and general pollutants so unless cleansed or submerged is clean H2O ... not a good idea ..

A slow pour with a tilted glass works fine - after cleansing the top with yer shirt ..

ps. Not a germ-a/o-phobe ... but do worry about toxins ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47am

@SV: I "celebrated" my 40th at a Sonic Protest festival gig. The people who run it and some who were playing are the closest thing I have to friends anyway

It is 10:49 in West Kerry Ireland and about to pour myself a beer ... I try to shop in small shops still, but the crap hole called LIDL sells a good 4 ingredient beer for about 2$us for 500ml whereas elsewhere a 500ml can costs 2.50-3.00u$.. The Guardian lists the lidl beer "Perlenbacher" as one of the top 10 supermarket lagers/pilsners...
ps. I have no financial or familial connection to Lidl ..
