Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!

To tell you the truth, the whole "Rock 'n' Soul Radio" stream is so confusing and out of step with the rest of WFMU's programming. I haven't really devoted that much time to digging through the Archives yet, but are they as disorganized as some of the "live" broadcasts? Hey, I'm not trying to be a crank. I really enjoy most of the station's programming, but sometimes it can be frustrating when the last hand isn't coordinating with the right one. Keep the music coming, though. Love it!

Gerry-The archives are pretty together from what I can tell. They go right in order and you can just hit the pop-up player and away you go. I listen to my old shows in the car sometimes and they're right there.

I intentionally do not have cell phone. I hate them and their texting keyboards, but dont like being tied down to phone anywhere i go. PLUS, until I retired, cell phones gave me trouble getting along with all the users not working.
