I have some reggae mixtapes a friend made, live recording of friends bands, and then a few record company releases that were extremely cheap of things I didn't have and couldn't easily find at the time. Cassette tape is so fragile as it ages. Have seen blog posts by people putting old tape into new shells with new pads, etc. LOL. Different stroke for different folks.

Yes doctorjazz, cassettes resurgence are likely because they are cheap and reasonably easy for indi artist to make edition of 20 or 50 or so. And a continuation of the indi experimental and prog tapes that were done in the 70s to 80s.
