Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19am
Jan Turkenburg:

Thanks, MHLee and I just found Gene Krupa, Monica Lewis and Sascha Burland and His Orchestra through wfmu advanced search
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19am
Jan Turkenburg:

I think I've heard the Monica Lewis recording before.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22am
MHLee:

It's interesting that all the yodels are from French-Swiss when they deal with Tyrol which is split between Austrians and Italians I believe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26am
Jan Turkenburg:

I'm sure there are german language Tyrol yodels too. However the ones that I have are from more recent date. At the moment I'm working my way through a double CD compilation with French ones.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40am
MHLee:

I recognize that song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40am
MHLee:

Being ground... the opening line are "just like a melody"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55am

I raise my cap to all the young men who were singing 'Take me back to dear old Blighty' in 1917. It had a different meaning for them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12am
Jan Turkenburg:

I know it has a WW1 meaning...
Avatar 11:16am
Kitschy Mama:

Hello Jan, swell show as usual.

  Swag For Life Member 11:34am
WR:

MHLee, how are you feeling?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am

My yodel training would say yes because he cracks his voice
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi WR!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am
MHLee:

Much better than I was. I may try to get stuff done today.
  Swag For Life Member 11:46am
WR:

Good to hear, MHLee. Monday, after getting release mid day from jury duty, I rode the subway to Coney Island and spent a couple hours walking on the boardwalk and got some food. I then spent 1.5 hours on the subway home during early part of rush hour. Hoping I didn't get anything, since subway is even less well air filtered than airplanes and only about half of people are masking these days.
  Swag For Life Member 11:48am
WR:

Jan, I saw FDL is taking the Friday Merrilee morning slot. If I remember it is Friday when I wake up I will connect. Guess, I can set a reminder.
  Swag For Life Member 11:55am
WR:

Ha! Didn't realize that is Mary Ford until I heard the distinctive Les Paul guitar.
  Swag For Life Member 11:56am
WR:

Charming hearing her do the gospel type harmonizing with herself.
  Swag For Life Member 11:58am
WR:

Thank you! Jan! Hoping for full recovery soon MHLee! Laters David (in London) and other Sheena streamers.

WR:

Will be listening to the Chiquita Banana selection with great interest. A friend had a disk with several different versions of a Chiquita Banana advertisement, a disk that had been provided to radio stations, with several different music styles of the advert. Since they were floating around, probably can be found on UBOOB. Laters.
