Makes me want to run out and get something to fit for lunch, but I really need to finish up what's in my fridge and refresh it this weekend....OTOH I am really craving some Queens-deep-neighborhood-style rotisserie chicken. That stuff can be sublime. There's a place nearish to me that has 6 full horizontal rotisserie bars right in the window, and a dude with some kind of handmade mop (looks like strips of white T-shirts) constantly mops the contents of a sloped drippings pan over the glistening birds. As the chickens get more done, the bars are moved up further away from the fire, with the topmost bar being what's served first. I also have no idea what they put in their particular green sauce, but I want to buy a gallon of it and bathe in it.

It must be a moneymaker for them because like most "real" food in my area, it's crazy affordable, but the extra sauce is a buck per quarter-cup dipping cup, AND they sell it in larger sizes. If you're not there for the chicken, get some arepas and the salad and just dump it all over that...

This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care.
