After a couple minutes she turned around and said, "come on, Eubie, we can go in". My brother, unsuspecting said "Eubie? The only Eubie I know of is Eubie Blake." Just then a soft raspy voice said "pardon me" and slipped past us. Yep. the one and only. They knew he was going to be attending, and from the stage Vernel B. asked him to stand up in the audience to be recognized.
