Doodles Weaver might keep returning to horse-race comedy bits because it was America's most popular sport. When tv came along, they didn't want horse races broadcast because they thought then no one would want to come to the track. Oops. Of course the opposite happened. Tv brought attention to other sports - heck, tv practically MADE pro wrestling - while horse racing kind of faded away.

If the Marx Bros were around today, they'd probably make a film called "A Day At The Basketball Game."

ah, thanks for that info, Mr Fab.

Jan, you appear to be missing the Frank Sintra Woodpecker recording it all it's glory

That guys' impression of a piano roll was quite funny, but only if you're familiar with the obsolete technology of player pianos - paper piano rolls would occasionally have accidental holes in the paper, which the player piano would read as a note. Hence the occasional bum notes.

Jan Turkenburg:

Strange... I do have it MHLee, I must have accidentaly deleted it while removing double files.

Nothing to do with the paper bags of cash left on the wfmu fire escape then?

From the audience reactions on this and the previous episode serms there quite a bit of visual comedy.
