My stepdad used to watch Westerns on Sunday afternoons and they always looked so boring to me, all slow and monochrome and ham-acted and that. Then I had a huge Westerns binge in 2012–13 and found out that I absolutely love them! Once you settle into the style, there is so much nuance in that slow pace that is just wonderful. And also yes to tadpole's rec. of "Once Upon A Time In The West". What a film. That soundtrack gets me right in the guts!
