Not sure I still feel that strongly after almost 200 pages. But it is pretty astounding and exciting to imagine the scenarios put forth. Makes sense of how many of us today feel out of sync with being forced into an alienating world of unforgiving capitalism. Wasn’t always like this… Yes, wonderful book indeed!

	♥ 11:44am Handy Haversack: Far-right and alt-right mis-/disinformation is a highly capitalized and deeply researched set of tools and techniques. At heart it is designed to keep the working classes distracted so the last dregs of the planet can be extracted by capital. The damage it does along the way is completely incidental. Its goal is to create enough division to paralyze government and neutralize any chance for not just reform but actual political consciousness. There is no real ideology there, just the pretense of one designed to keep the exploited people maximally divided so that we never are able to find common cause. Any atrocity is justified in this effort. And government is too scared to do anything about it because the ultimate goal of both parties is only to stay in power and power comes from the money donated by the exact same forces of capital. It's not a good situation, to put it mildly. But we have to keep fighting, however we can. Vote, protest, expose -- anything to show that we won't go down without a fight.

Not sure I still feel that strongly after almost 200 pages. But it is pretty astounding and exciting to imagine the scenarios put forth. 	♥ 11:44am Handy Haversack: Far-right and alt-right mis-/disinformation is a highly capitalized and deeply researched set of tools and techniques. At heart it is designed to keep the working classes distracted so the last dregs of the planet can be extracted by capital. The damage it does along the way is completely incidental. Its goal is to create enough division to paralyze government and neutralize any chance for not just reform but actual political consciousness. There is no real ideology there, just the pretense of one designed to keep the exploited people maximally divided so that we never are able to find common cause. Any atrocity is justified in this effort. And government is too scared to do anything about it because the ultimate goal of both parties is only to stay in power and power comes from the money donated by the exact same forces of capital. It's not a good situation, to put it mildly. But we have to keep fighting, however we can. Vote, protest, expose -- anything to show that we won't go down without a fight.
