A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Picked up from the library Chelsea Manning’s book “README.txt” Illuminating foray into her decision to join the military (mostly to impress her abusive military Dad), rough abusive alcoholic parents family life (incidentally, her Mom is Welsh, who met her Dad while stationed there), the heinous, wildly invasive broad sweep of the surveillance state and of course the causal atrocity committed by the military - all in the name of “keeping us safe” and the War of Error. Of course throughout is her private struggle with her identity.
Very brave, conscientious, empathetic soul.
Epochal hero truly, like Julian Assange and Edward Snowden.
Love the choices as usual, Trouble.

But I’ve come to believe that what the system needs is more thinking, compassionate and empathetic people who decide the fate of people being tried on the Injustice System.
Think we should participate. Especially when you think of all those sitting around in fear, watching cable tv and reading reactionary propaganda all day, who would readily show up just as they would to sit at Dunkin Donuts all day.

My dad, OTOH, was a jury magnet for his life. Got grand jury in Newark once. Was down there for weeks. Also was on a trial that involved Steve Allen as defendant. He settled.

The words “blonde” and “brunette” are nouns only, meaning a woman with that particular hair color. A man is a “blond” or “brunet.”

Columbian drug cartel in Queens, huh? Looks really interesting. Good on you to have taken the time and made this available for posterity. We’re nothing as a society without our, The People’s and not the state’s, stories.

Nice one, Trouble!
Folks, read Jeremy Belcher’s “Strike.” Very exciting history that has been purposefully omitted from the American History textbooks in school.
