almost all violin/fiddle variants have 4 strings, though 5 stringers are becoming more common. as such, neither of these would designate a violin vs. a fiddle. its really about how you bow the instrument. violin e.g. "classical" tends to have very prepared (in advance) bowing for maximum and consistent tone production, while fiddle bowing is more improvisatory

I've always loved Lindley! I used to watch the Canadian MTV equivalent Much Music and once David Lindley spontaneously dropped in the studio while another band was performing and being interviewed and the hosts persuaded him to perform with the band.
He obliged by playing an electric violin through one of the band's amps and he proceeded to blow it up live on television - sparks and smoke and everything. So funny.

🌿JOYEUX OSTARA ~ VERNAL EQUINOX ! ! ! 🌿
(Northern Hemisphere - Autumnal in the Southern)
20th March, 2023 @ 17:25 EDT
Astronomical ~ Technical Beginning of Spring
One of two days on the Wheel of the Year when Day & Night are equal length (Equinox = 'Equal Night') - & everywhere on ⊕Earth.
The ⦿Sun Rises & Sets due East & West - so note that where you are !
Beginning of the Zodiac Cycle & the Astrological Year with the ⦿Sun entering ♈︎Aries, the First Sign.
' Derived from a reconstruction produced by linguist Jacob Grimm of an Old High German form of the Old English goddess name Ēostre, Ostara marks the vernal equinox in some modern Pagan traditions.
Known as Alban Eilir to modern Druid traditions, this holiday is the second of three spring celebrations (the midpoint between Imbolc and Beltane), during which light and darkness are again in balance, with light on the rise. It is a time of new beginnings and of life emerging further from the grips of winter. '
