I, eYe, em happy U there. And, you just played a song with my friend Sean Ali, of LFA; LathanFlinAli, a trio that flipped my wig in 2009, me in Red Hook BK, by Battery Tunnel. Then I was wowed by Sean's bass and his voice in performance, reading poetry at concerts hosted by Zee Couch, a fertile time of new music in BK, me able to paint many concerts first with ink and graphite then with oil on velvet. Great to hear Sean Ali's name on FMU!

Daybreak is Curious...:
Of this school year.
I think this is day 130 or 129 out of 188.
Today's illness is courtesy of my poor son/fortune son who was coughing with a high temperature, all last week.
At least he and my wife are both back in action,
and I woke in the night and got to chat a bit with the nice people on the Showy McShowface chat-board.
That and I actually have sick days that I can use.

Daybreak is Curious...:
There definitely need to be serious consequences.
However, it has almost always been a kid's life full of hard consequences for decisions they had nothing to do with that put them in the position to make such a dangerous choice.
I don't want a kid's life/future destroyed for doing something stupid and potentially dangerous. All that leads to is more misery and worse choice later.
I have no idea how to thread such a "consequence needle", and I really wish I could trust and feel reassured by our society's ability to do a good job of it.

"'I said, ‘That’s Yoko!,’' Lennon recalled that fall in an interview with the BBC. 'I thought there were two records going at once or something. Because it was so her. I mean, this person had studied her. I thought, ‘Get out the ax and call the wife!’ I called her and I said, ‘You won’t believe this, but I was in a disco and there was somebody doing your voice. This time, they’re ready for us!'"

1. Jim Morrison is an overblown windbag because the band was were popular and then the maniacal cult sprung up around them proclaiming Morrison's "genius." Most folks have projected the hatred of hype to the music.
2. If some of these longer tracks remained unreleased but were cut by band that never made it past a few recording sessions before their singer died in '67, the deluxe first-time issue of all these lost tracks on Numero Group would be hailed as the find of the year, and would make WFMU's "heavily played" list.
