Show sounds great and started on time. I'm confused why you are addressing me specifically about this. But am enjoying the entertainment.
Does this go back to that game Dolor-X started back when we were guessing the songs info so Kittimu could make a playlist ?

Debbie, I'm just thanking you for the thumbs up from you.🤗

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm

There used to be a great clown-decor bar in SF. There is a really great movie about hobos called Sullivan’s Travels.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Such a great crunchy one
  3:55pm
Cheree July:

Well, at least Don & me aren't staying at that infamous Clown Motel in Nevada that's supposed to be haunted.🤡😳😱
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

At first I thot you meant Circus Circus! But I know which one you are talking about. That creepy mom & pop.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Cherie, can you ask Don if the Dave Dee 45 was the American version or foreign pressing?
  4:00pm
Cheree July:

Becky, I stayed at Circus Circus the 1st time I went to Psycho Las Vegas. My hotel room there was actually pretty nice. Circus Circus is one of the older Las Vegas casinos on the Strip, but it's fun.
  4:01pm
Cheree July:

Becky, that version of Hold Tight was the German pressing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm

I love Circus Circus. It is one of the fun ones still. I wish they still had the merry-go-round bar.
  4:08pm
Cheree July:

Yeah Becky, Circus Circus was built in 1968, and they had a huge carousel outside, but it's gone😫 But they still have the slots carousel under the Midway tho.

A song I've heard on this show a lot is now in a tv commercial. Lio Banana Split. Did anyone notice that?
I didn't know it was that well known.
  4:13pm
Cheree July:

No, I haven't noticed that yet, Debbie.

It's for iphones. It's animated.

The commercial is probably on youtube. It works really well. Sort of yellow submarine type animation if I remember it right.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22pm

Is is the original or a re-recording?
Avatar 4:22pm
Debbie Davenport:

Sounds like the original to me. There is a video of it in the link I put here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:24pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

I hadn’t seen your link. Shit, Apple? Lio should get performance $$$ at least. My friend knows her.
  4:25pm
Cheree July:

Becky, you have a friend that knows Lio?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Yes. He’s French. She’s actually El Gian. Has like five kids. Is still pretty.

Maybe it's too short for that? I don't really know much about that world. I recently repurchased a 7 inch I bought when I was 8. There was all this controversy around it and it was pulled from the shelves in mid or early 75. Copies were selling for $100! I assumed it had to do with the clips from hit songs they used. But now that I use discogs I see there are plenty of copies for sale very cheap. I couldn't find anything about the controversy on the internet. Thought it had to do with artist royalties.
  4:32pm
Cheree July:

Good to know, Becky. As for Apple giving Lio performance dollars, I won't hold my breath. I know Don has to use an iPhone, iPad, & a Apple laptop because it's easier for him, but Apple is notorious for using slave labor in China to make their products, so that's why I don't expect them to pay up for using Lio's song.😤
  4:41pm
Cheree July:

Little Boy Blue by Angel is pretty damn good tho.😎
  4:44pm
Cheree July:

That kickdrum on this Norah song!🥁
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:52pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

↳ Cheree July @4:32
Yes, but it is different when it comes to paying for music in entertainment or advertising. It’s why we don’t see some old music shows or why variety shows sometimes cut them out! Deb, which song is that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:53pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

And I think it was long enough. They have diff rules for news programs (public interest) and money-making enterprises.

Mr. Jaws. There is another one that came out at the same time called an interview with jaws. But the version I had was Mr. Jaws. My dad was shocked I had it and he took it from me. So I know it was because it was worth something.

Eye roll? It seemed creative to an 8 year old. I was stimulated in that way and I learned a huge lesson about how music can be to people money wise. Outside of just the intitial price. Huge deal to my early collector brain. And it's what led to me having around 6000 records.
