I appreciate your listening and chiming in! Been so insanely busy and rushed this new-releases playlist but all the various pieces are still sounding good together to me, even the ones I hadn't really fully listened to yet.

Hi, Nick. We’ve been digging the show while making and devouring some pizzas. These breezy groovy tunes have been the perfect accompaniment. :)

I can't even remember how I got turned on to them but it was quite recently. Possibly an instagram algorithm suggestion

i always associate them with more of a … crunchy (?) cosmic rock kind of thing but that jam fit very nicely in here
Avatar 8:24pm
djnogoodnick:

↳ zzz @8:22
Yes they are a "jam band" per their bio. But they are tight enough to fit into an indie funk set.

i think “jam bands” gets a bad rap. plenty of great groups under that umbrella (although tons of shit also lol). there was a period in the early ‘00s when “jambands” were really in the funk/soul jazz thing and a bunch of bands i used to see all the time would also fit nicely in here. was just listening to greyboy allstars last night actually. fantastic group!

I think you're right and part of what is happening is "jam bands" now have more access to professional-quality recording and production.
