Hah, when I saw the title "Machine Gun" on the player before the audio started I thought I was going to be hearing Peter Broetzmann, didn't expect Hendrix. I missed the Berger / Sharrock track.

I only recently found out about Bill Orcutt (via NPR small desk episode with guitar quartet including Mendoza, Parish, and Eisenberg). Interested in exploring more of his music.

Dean:

I can't see the little emojis that our DJ Observations is posting. A wolf, this last one?

But then I'm pretty dismissive of the whole notion of "visual learning." Sight is the least important sense, to my mind. I could drive blind as well as most Berkeley residents.

But Corsano and Orcutt were, predictably, spectacular.

The clerk at my local used record store recommended Bill Orcutt to me. Good choice! He had a long interview on a New Sounds show (the show, confusingly found on the website newsounds.org, which is a larger enterprise), which is still available if you search for it. He apparently uses a 4-string guitar for reasons he explains.
