Maybe they felt threatened by the fierceness of her flame, or her absolute honesty in expressing the complicated nature of being human. I felt sad for them. I was not super well versed in her body of work, but I appreciated what I could get my ears on. She was music, but also much more. Sinéad O'Connor was so important for so many reasons, some of which maybe aren't even entirely clear to some people yet.

Maybe they felt threatened by the fierceness of her flame, or her absolute honesty in expressing the complicated nature of being human. I felt sad for them.
