I’m not too nostalgic, especially about the good old days but Stereolab takes me to a place in time when each day wasn’t a constant bum out and there was a little hope in the air.

Not only was it Elfman's first soundtrack, it was Tim Burton's first full length film. He talked a reluctant a reluctant Elfman into composing the soundtrack, who assumed would be tossed in garbage. Both men created a celebration fitting Pee Wee better than his glen plaid suit. In the process, it established both men's careers. consequence.net...

It's impossible to pick a favorite line, but it might help if everyone kept quiet so I could listen to reason. Sadly, a spin off movie featuring my favorite undeveloped side character isn't possible, as Amazing Larry portrayer Lou Cutell predeceased Reubens by 2 years.

An amazing cultural intersection. Elfman and Burton both are creators of worlds, in my mind. Paul Rubens was a committed performer who took a lot of care with his craft. All three were culture shifting.

As an avid Late Night viewer, Pee Wee was always unmatched must see TV. My friends and I were primed for every new creation. As for Burton, without Pee Wee's kickstart (kickstand?), he wouldn't have brought us Batman, featuring what I maintain is the most brilliant cityscape ever created, by my favorite production designer Anton Furst.

I somehow ended up seeing the episode of Peewee’s Playhouse where he makes sandwiches with my brother, and we still occasionally crack up about Peewee claiming he was putting hair in his sandwich then demurely confessing that it was actually sprouts.
