I've always felt that about "weeds"
Humans make the determination what is or is not a weed & then out come the poisons.

Humans are the most invasive species on Earth

Good morning, Brian. Welcome to this timeslot. I will get to hear you regularly now. Last info I heard was that Florida gets 40 new invasive species a year!!!!!! Noice double entendre with the dedication of "Animal Farm ". You will do nicely in this slot.🫏🐑🐓🐄 et. al.

↳ Song: "Clip: WHOU-new Texas laws protect pets, ban puppy...
It's a start.

Laws are only as good as the willingness to enforce them.

Texas is a huge state with lots of very rural areas, difficult to "police"

PA does a pretty good job of helping to protect animals:

Great show!

Capitalism is inescapable, so *they* say.

Most of our interactions have become commodified; it’s consumerism instead of community; I Me Mine; social media replaces gathering in person (who has the time anyway - gotta keep working to keep up with the price-gouging and the Joneses). Keep shopping is the mantra.

It’s no wonder that alienation and isolation set in, while trying to keep one step ahead of the relentless, merciless, ever-churning grinder of capitalism. Which leads to too many people succumbing to Deaths of Despair, with opioid overdose.
