Me too! My favorite story was Tom Edison's Shaggy Dog, but it's been a long time since I read it.
I endlessly read non-fiction and struggle with fiction despite or because I was an English Lit Major. Not sure why. Plus my mind wonders...
Avatar 11:47am
Bob Brainen:

Here's a Vonnegut quote I have on my wall at work:
“If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music.”
  11:49am
Dean:

I think often of Harrison Bergeron, which remains relevant. I'm with you, Bob. English Lit major, but I tend to read non-fiction, mostly because of my work. So, I read a bit of legal history, a bit about unjust enrichment, equity, really fascinating undercurrents of legal thought. But once I'm locked into a big, fat Dickens novel, I'm an English Lit major again. And poetry. Lots of poetry. Just now, Paul Laurence Dunbar.
Avatar 11:49am

And this quote is on the wall of my music room where I am streaming this show from.
I look up and see:
"Without music, life would be a mistake" -Nietzsche
  11:50am
Dean:

Am I correct that, as somebody mentioned to me yesterday, KVJ's epitaph reads, "I'm Outta Here"?
  11:51am

I have a CD of a recital of songs by Nietzsche. Pretty dreadful, as I recall, but that might be due to the execution, not the music itself.

I dig these guys. They have a few nonLP singles that are quite good.
