Cool! I would love to hear the show he did with his wife on WOR from their home in New Rochelle. I imagine it would be like the couple in Woody Allen's Radio Days, Breakfast with Irene and Roger.

I think that was Carson Robison on guitar, though haven't found confirmation. Robison was excellent musician and often accompanied Vernon Dalhart and other singers.

You could be (and likely are) right (you often research these things instead of taking guesses like I do). He had some of Eddy Lang's sound to his guitar playing, the characteristic pauses, but he may have just listened to and been influenced by Lang (I never heard of Robinson before, hadn't paid much attention, the sound just jumped out at me).
