I always like Bethany Ryker ("A440/Stochastic Hit Parade") who declined the term "classical" music for her show, since much of the music she played was less than 15 years old. She liked "symphonic".

Oh, my, this seems very promising. I myself am just now playing Sviatoslav Richter, a Haydn sonata. But I'll have to turn it off to tune in.

There's still an Emma Kirkby, though. We don't need a new one. And except for Gothic Voices, she didn't venture that far back.

Tchaikovsky's work is beautiful. It's familiar, and so it risks being trite, but those ballets are simply sublime. And I mean, if you want to enlist folks to ally with LGBTQ+, then you can't go wrong with Tchaikovsky.

No, classical does not "mean" male domination. Its course implicates plenty of male domination, but it is not identical with it.
