So, the gimmick for Casey, Crime Photographer is that Casey and Ann, his partner, hang out at The Blue Note, in-between the rest of the story, and they chat up Elthelbert, the bartender. It's a location they usually return to a couple times per show.

Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:17pm
Austin Rich:

While the sound is good, there are a few "glitches" in the recording, where the transcription disc skipped when the show was transferred to another format. I tried to edit out the most annoying moments, but there's a few glitchy moments that were needed for story clarity.
Avatar 9:19pm
Mr Fab:

A show about a visual format (photography) on an audio format (radio).

So seems like a natural show to move to TV.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:20pm
Austin Rich:

The ads in this show are not only for one company, but the show was actually PRODUCED by the sponsor during this period, and their ads are fairly tied into the show. (In fact, the "in-story" explanation for the ads is that the "announcer" is just one of the regulars hanging out at The Blue Note Cafe.) Some of the ad transitions are pretty odd, because of this.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:21pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Mr Fab @9:19
There was a TV version. (And some movies made.) And there were nine different radio versions of this show over a 12 year period, that produced over 300 episodes. Most of them are, unfortunately, missing.

It is a shame that they had Herman Chittison playing live piano for these shows, and you can BARELY hear the performances on some of these shows. He did record music that was released in his time, but these shows were VERY popular, and was a major boon to his career. It would be cool if we could hear these without the VOs.

Re Corning,it's not far from here and, when I was young, my dad wanted to take me and my sister to the Glass Museum. My sister, generally a quiet kid, started chanting "Corning is boring!" I of course joined in. We never did visit Corning but I always think "Corning is boring!!" Every time I think of the town.
