Yes sir. Thanks for stopping in tonight Jelly. Welcome. strangly quiet tonight... the debate?
  12:21am
Erik/VT:

Oh man, indeed… the debate was an utter debacle. Thank goodness I tuned in justin-thyme to distract my swelling itching brain 🧠 from any frank-farter punditry and get to hear one of my “almost true blue” gems of the musical industry. I believe my cursory inventory from a few years ago has SunRa as cornucopia king followed by Bowie & Costello running a very tight race from aft. 😝 😜 E.C. is a hero of mine (that I would never wanna meet).
Since album one at age 16.

Great to see you Erik! Man he still sounds great live.

Oh forgot to add - from what I gathered, sampling thru his last several albums (say last 3 or 4?!) are even stronger than his previous (say 3 or 4). 👏👏👏

❤️😍❤️😍🫠 - I even love the weaker albums! I’m ALL-in with ANYTHING by E.Costello & Bowie. Yea, I know, I’m one of those types 🙄🤭🤓

NOTHING wrong with being a fan.

BB, you’ve unfortunately jogged my regretful memory (I’ve had a few😏) on missing E Costello in absolutely beautiful outdoor location at Shelburne Farms VT touring the stellar “imperial bedroom” album. Not originally, but retrospectively circa 2017(?!?). Sigh 😌
- tickets sold fast, but not so fast that if I had gotten my arts-in-gear. On the positive tip, I was able to attend a fun show recently of Jonny boy Langford (Mekons Captain) in an embarrassingly intimate show in Fellows Balls. funny, alotta grey-hairs made the show. Good Times can still be had. 😝 😏

I think concerts are one of the few artforms that stays logged in your memory for your lifetime. Isn't it crazy? The concerts I always remember everything else washes away over time.

I’ve retired from arena attendance daze. I’m all about the small to medium clubs and concert halls & opera houses (as we oft call them around hear).

🫡🫀🤗 - hey speaking of the down-under & gothy musical vibe (& 🏳️‍🌈 etc), I was randomly rabbit hole’ing 🐇…🕳️ with all the different versions of the Rocky Horror Show musical casts (!?) - I had never thought (or even realized) there would be so many versions to peruse and listen at … ALL quite subtly different! I loved hearing diff takes on such familiar territory. The Aussie recording was a tad wackier and hyped up (in my brief assumption). It all seems to boil down to the Voices one prefers (& especially for me the musical arrangements & accompaniment!)!
A fun compare & contrast project for a rainy day, blah yadda blah.
I was ultimately surprised by the varying distinctions.

oh my goodness yes. I'm right with you i love hearing different cast albums of the same show & specifically Rocky Horror. There are some great ones but nothing beats the Picture Show! Not even close.
  1:55am
Erik/VT:

Yea. Totally. But I thought it might be because it’s the most familiar to me.
Those 1973/1974 original cast albums are pretty cool. The London cast is a strong curious entry. And the especially the NORDIC ONE(s)?!?!
The movie (picture) show soundtrack classic is a powerhouse!

BB, Have you watched the absolute stunner film “eyes without a face”.
It’s a mind blower and horrifically beauteous (in that beauty & the beast Cocteau way).
More movie talk next time.
Keep chiming in at new 3 thumbs up 👍 👍👍

Comment above because every time I heard this song, I wondered what he was referring to … and then i finally sawer the 1962 French film. I had been a Gen-X fan but kinda thought Billy solo was a meathead - & then kinda re-appreciated knowing that he musta loved this film. 🤷‍♂️
Blah yadda blah.
