So much of this show is evoking my high school years. Tonight I'm gonna have nightmares about gym class.

TODD, been a 10 CC, GOULDMAN, GODLEY/CREME fan since the get-go. Such clever songwriting, arranging and performance. The music still stands up! My first encounter with a 10CC tune was "Rubber Bullets." FLO and EDDIE(formerly of the Turtles and Frank Zappa's band) had a Saturday night show on KROQ-FM in Los Angeles and they played it incessantly when I was a distribution clerk at a southern California postal center. I would be walking around the work floor with my headphone radio on, singing at the top of my lungs. Good times!

To all those who listened to TODD's interview with Graham Gouldman today, I am gratified to see all the support for SPARKS, a band that shares a lot of the charm, wit and cockeyed worldview of their musical compatriots in 10 CC.

There are a lot of cool shows up here, but I am 90 percent sure I'm gonna head down to Union Pool for the free Mary Timony show tomorrow. Gotta get up early to bus and train to Brooklyn from the Hudson Valley. Seeing Guided By Voices in a few weeks, but that's just 35 minutes form me.

@FREDERICKS. I was aware of Gouldman as a songwriter in the HOLLIES era(60s). But my first exposure to 10 CC was the album with "Rubber Bullets" in 1974(?). Hooked as a fan from there forward.
