IIRC, "I'm Just the Other Woman" is one of the few known instances of an unsatisfied song-poem writer demanding a do-over-- there's also a version without the backwards Chamberlin. I've always assumed Rodd accidentally left that track on and it somehow made it to press (though it could have just been him being weird).

I highly recommend the Neil Merryweather Space Rangers albums for glorious Chamberlin...he also knew Bruce Palmer who did a great album with Chamberlin between Buffalo Springfield and Neil Young's Trans that had Rick James on it. Both Palmer and Merryweather played with Rick James in Toronto.

I’d love to be there for that! I saw negativland live in Toronto ion ‘99 or ‘00. Not a big crowd. I had a crummy little tape recorder and I was literally dumbstruck when Mark came to the edge of the stage and asked me if’this was an interview’. What a missed opportunity. One of, if not the best show I’ve ever seen.
