got back from the godspeed concert on tuesday, it was top notch!

i was in the front, alan sparhawk did some hyperpop before abruptly segueing into the indie folk rock-esque stuff he typically does, he sung this really interesting song about the second coming too

godspeed was a well-oiled machine, pretty much everyone was firing on all cylinders

they did this excellent noise freakout at the end of the concert, just feedback with violin and bowed double bass, one of them was running a screwdriver over the strings of their guitars, etc
