Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

I'm so cranky today, like hung over, when I didn't drink at all yesterday, and honored the holiday only by visiting Don in the nursing home, hanging around an hour before warming him up enough to talk fragmentary sentences, and have the staff inform me he's unable again to swallow, so he couldn't even take the gelatin dessert I made him.

I like this song. I stepped out to walk my dog in the woods leaving my phone to charge & it was stuck in my head the whole time. Not in an unpleasant way.

I did not know the Paul Winter Consort continued onward for such a long time...on reflection, I don't know why they wouldn't...lost in the information overload

You probably mentioned this in your intro… my attention was going in and out of focus… from Wikipedia:
“the only hit to feature an authentic Native American chant in the history of the Billboard pop charts.”

I consider "come and get your love" a Native American chant.

I was trying to remember if We Were All Wounded at Wounded Knee has any chanting in it… but that was only a hit in the Netherlands and a few other places in Europe I think anyway…

When I saw Redbone (my first big concert. In Duluth!), they opened their set by featuring a a real plains Indians drum-circle that went on for some time. The audience that was there mainly to see the other two headliners, J. Geils Band and Charlie Daniels Band ( I think) were not unreceptive. I remember it being pretty cool, really....certainly 'way out' and daring to present that at that time. And yes, Redbone WAS stupendous! Great band!
