The difference with the original Line 6 combos were that they were very simple to use, and if you knew what amps it was modeling and how they reacted, you could come damn close to the sound of the original, especially the 60's Fenders. And I also set up my footswitch to do a Leslie fast/slow effect, and it worked great on gigs. The fact is has an actual speaker made it great for recording, better than the Pod which I never got into.

Nice! Speaking of Ovation guitars, the Partridge Family was seen playing all Fender guitars in season 1, then later the show had a deal with Ovation, and all the guitars afterward on that show were Ovation. After this/before Brinsley Schwarz, the Lodge did some Beatles covers under other names. A friend of mine (John Young, great bass player) heard The Band's influence on Nick et al. right off.

I am at a They Might Be Giants concert and they just played a song entirely backwards, with the intention of playing the recording of it forwards for us after intermission, and this pretty much sums up what it's like to be at a they might be a giants concert

Got a Kippington collection from our library (they only mage singles, so I think it was all of those) & it was pretty '60s/pop--sounding, couldn't detect much of Lowe. Not sure if Lowe is on this track or not. Their song "Shy Boy" is also on that Teenage Opera collection I'm sure people here know about.

The one I have is BS - Hens' Teeth. KL/Brinsleys also released records as Limelight, and The Knees.

There was a Horsegirl/Dummy show local to me a year ago. I saw how young the bands were and got self conscious about being the weird old guy at the show. I’ll do better next time.
