The Radio Is Broken is a three-hour spelunk through the canyons and fissures of humanity's collective unconscious. It sounds as if a field recording of the Culture Industry were a sonic juggernaut barreling down a rickety track—except that tunnel ahead is just painted onto a sheer cliff wall. With occasional forays into what might pass for "normal" music. Prerequisite journey: Cratedigger's Lung

When I was a street hippy in Berkeley CA my friend and I volunteered to participate in an ESP test at the UC there. We showed up in the designated classroom at the designated time. There were about a dozen of us. After 30 - 40 minutes and no one arrived to explain what to do or what was going one, we all decided to leave. We had signed up because it was supposed to pay $10. I guess we failed the test but my friend and I took a couple cartons of deposit soft drink bottles (this was the early 70s) so we got some cash for that.
