Musically - this Program ranges from PowerPop to Straight Ahead Jazz to Prawg to Outsider Music (about which Irwin literally wrote the book) to obvsly more.
Complaining about the genres &/or tastes of any FMU-J has a very simple solution indeed. Listen to something else. Why go into a shop says 'Cake' on the door & complain it's not Soup. In fact - it's not a Shop @ all. It's a DJ not being paid to present a labor of love.
Politically - I reckon I'm as Liberal~Leftist as you would care to be. I reckon Irwin is not. So what. Nobody is rude.

" "Black Maria" became a phrase for a police car in the 19th Century, possibly originally from Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and it became a popular term in many countries. However, some Russian accounts uses "Black Raven" instead of "Black Maria". In fact, my impression is that accounts in Russian use Black Raven far more often than Black Maria, suggesting that Black Raven was a more common Soviet nickname for the secret police car. However, at least in the English translation of Solzhenitsyn's The GULAG Archipelago, Black Maria is used extensively. (I don't have the work in Russian to check what term is used there"...
" The 1930s NKVD used something very different: they used a Soviet-produced passenger car, the GAZ-M1."
