Nice. I've decided that if I had the chance to be born at any time, I'd probably be born between 1945 and 1955. I'd risk getting drafted and everything.

Hopefully the sound is okay on this one. I did some remastering and sound enhancing on the vocals, to improve things. The original sound is a little muddy, so some of the dialog has lisps and is a little nasal at times.

Like a lot of radio from the 40's, there are some racist words used here by Bob. I almost edited this section out, but decided to leave it in anyway. I don't support the racist terms, and the joke here is minimal, at best. I mostly want to point it out to say that there's a fine line, on this show, between "presenting the show as it was" and "editing it for broadcast," and I try to balance that as best I can.

Occasionally, the racism of the past shines through. Consider it a commentary on the racism in the real world, today? Or something like that...

I had some nice clothes and ties that I would wear out at shows as a young man, and I had a hat sort of like one Sinatra would wear. I remember getting called a Sinatra wanna-be, or a "Young Frank Sinatra" by some folks at punk shows when I was young. So I arbitrarily started buying his albums, and trying to figure out who he was, at a time when they were all pretty cheap at thrift stories. To this day I have 20 or so Sinatra LPs, that I collected because of those comments made at shows 30+ years ago...
