Chinese New Year has been relatively early in 2025
- @ Sunset after the New ☽Moon in ♒︎Aquarius on January 29th.
The entire period of the Waxing (growing brighter) ☽Moon between the beginning of the New Year with the New ☽Moon on January 29th & the Full ☽Moon on 12th February is observed as the New Year Holiday (as much about family reunions & other rituals as public celebration) - culminating on the Full ☽Moon with the ‘Festival of Lanterns’ (which is more the public face of the Holiday)…
Chinese years come in pairs - with two in a row of the same Element in their system. This is the second year of the Wood element - corresponding to ♃Jupiter - & indicates a time for visible tangible growth…
The first year of the pair is the Yang expression - the active & more assertive manifestation. We have passed out of the the year of the ‘larger than life’ 🐉Dragon - a creature representing fundamental forces of Nature.
The second year of the pair is the Yin expression of it - its more passive or receptive manifestation. We have entered the year of the wise & stylish but also powerful & profound 🐍Snake…
