i've seen chuck live many times. one of the first times i saw him he had a show at his loft, and the invite said, "no byob". well, i was a broke grad student, and showed up w/ a 40, and at the very end, i dropped and broke it, and sheepishly cleaned it up as everyone was leaving.

I'm a relatively new cook (only have time for it since I cut down work hours), so I'm learning through the Times recipes. I find the comments section especially helpful, with flavoring and spicing additions not in the original recipe (learning my way around with these suggestions). Times Cooking is part of my subscription.

Getting better, have developed a sense of what to add when since I started a few years ago. Still not up to just free styling it with whatever happens to be in the Fridge/pantry.
