From Wiki—what a lineup! And only partial!

He composed scores for five films in the Star Trek franchise and three in the Rambo franchise, as well as for films including Logan's Run, Planet of the Apes, Tora! Tora! Tora!, Patton, Papillon, Chinatown, The Omen, Alien, Poltergeist, The Secret of NIMH, Medicine Man, Gremlins, Hoosiers, Total Recall, Basic Instinct, Air Force One, L.A. Back around 1979 or so, when I was a couple years out of high school, I tried to hip buddies to Epitaph. They were a slightly older group of guys who had two or three local bands, one of which reminded me of this band.

I'll put in a recommend for Cage's early tape works Fontana Mix and Willams Mix.
  12:50pm
Jeremy:

↳ Tony Coulter @12:44
"On original release, the band reportedly convinced Davies to tone down some of the orchestration and up the guitar and drum textures, resulting in a very punchy, rocking album, with a "dry" (i.e., not much reverb) English sound. Rhino's reissue presented a completely remixed and resequenced version (by Kaylan and Harold Bronson) with the stated goal of meeting Davies' original more orchestral pop version."

The first version I got was the Rhino reissue, so that was the one I got used to. I'd have to compare and contrast to remember which one I preferred in the end. The tracklisting was also changed. I'm curious now as to which mixes were used for subsequent reissues. It would be nice if there was a reissue with both mixes.

Last time I saw them, it was sold out. In a ludicrous comedy of errors, a friend of mine had a ticket he couldn't use, and so I took it gladly. However, it was actually for a different gig. But I was so insistent on the door (thinking I did have a ticket), and the pressure from the queue so great, they let me in anyway.
