It was believed that if you forced people to open the windows in winter it would prevent air stagnation and promote public health. I love NYC steam heat. My Mom, may she rest in peace, said that when she finally moved into a house after marrying my Dad that it's the one thing she really missed.

It was believed that if you forced people to open the windows in winter it would prevent air stagnation and promote public health. I love NYC steam heat. My Mom, may she rest in peace, said that when she finally moved into a house after marrying my Dad that it's the one thing she really missed.
